Some Days

Some days the drip drip drip of life’s rain tests our heart, mind and fortitude.

It’s big things and little things all piled on top of each other and we struggle under the weight.

And with each new burden comes the thought that surely, this time, we’ll buckle and crack under the pressure.

And all we can do is keep breathing.

And some days, we have to let someone else trust for us.

And some days, we have to allow someone else to hope for us.

And some days, someone comes along and walks with us and they can’t take our burden, but they share our road.

And we remember we are not alone.

And some days, all we can do is know we’re alive.

Alive by All Sons and Daughters

This is a call to all the dead and disappointed
The ones who feel like they are done
This is a word to all the ones who feel forgotten
But you are not
Oh you are not

We’re alive, alive, alive we’re singing
We’re alive, alive, alive and we’re shaken
We’re alive, alive, alive, alive in You

We are soaked in all the grace that we’ve been given
Unchained from all that we have done
Your mercy’s rising like the sun on the horizon
We’re coming home

We’re alive, alive, alive we’re singing
We’re alive, alive, alive and we’re shaken
We’re alive, alive, alive, alive in You
